      <description><![CDATA[<p><b>Summary:</b>&nbsp; Under the direct supervision of the Parent Educator Supervisor, the Parent Educator provides parent education, developmental information, and family support to parents through personal home visits to promote the healthy development of children from pregnancy to kindergarten. Program Supervisors manage the daily operations of their department unit; identify and assess client and family needs; supervise case management and support staff; coordinate service delivery to ensure that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met. Enter data for record keeping and reporting to meet federal/state/program guidelines.</span></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Responsible for goals and objectives of contract for programs; includes HFA outcomes and reporting.</span></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Ensure that home visiting documentation is completed accurately and submitted in accordance with program policies.</span></p> <p><span>&nbsp;</span><b><span>Education</span></b><span>:</span></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Master’s degree in human services or fields related to working with children and families <b><i>preferred</i></b>; OR Bachelor’s degree in these fields with at least three (3) years of relevant experience; OR Associate degree or high school diploma with commensurate HFA experience.</span></p> <p><span>&nbsp;</span><b><span>Experience:</span></b></p> <p><span>Must possess 3-5 years experience working in Human or Social Services; 1 year working directly with families with children in-home or in group settings.&nbsp; Case management or service coordination experience preferred.&nbsp; </span></p> <p><span>&nbsp;</span><b><span>&nbsp;</span></b><b><span>Skills:</span></b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>A solid understanding of and/or experience in supervising diverse with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments. </span></li> <li><span>Willingness to engage in building reflective practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.); experience with reflective practice preferred. </span></li> <li><span>Experience in early childhood prevention services; home visitation experience preferred. </span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of: Infant and child development and parent-child attachment; Parent-infant health, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect. </span></li> <li><span>Experience with providing family services that embrace the concepts of family–centered, strength-based, culturally sensitive service provision. </span></li> <li><span>Must have reliable transportation to conduct client home visits as needed and visit other designated community locations.</span></li> </ul> <p><span>&nbsp;</span><a name="_Hlk170459234" style="color: rgb(2, 34, 52); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><b><span>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</span></b></a></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings</span></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>Must be prepared to travel to various program sites, and various communities.</span></p> <p><span>¨<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span><span>A driver’s license and insured vehicle is necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities for the position.</span></p> <p><b><span>&nbsp;</span></b></p> <p> </p> <p><b><span>&nbsp;</span></b></p> ]]></description>
